Declaration of Equal Rights

Idea to include a declaration of equal rights reminiscent of ERA. This would expand the Constitutional definition of Equal Rights and Opportunity. Please see wiki if unfamiliar with ERA amendment history: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equal_Rights_Amendment

discussing this with local occupiers this afternoon: there were good arguments that this could be a central part of the declaration. When "equalizing" the economic playing field, all players must be regarded as equals. Our laws still do not provide for 100% equality regardless of sex, ethnicity, gender, faith, creed, etc. We have Equal Opportunity in hiring practices, but no equality spelled out in the Constitution.
