Nationalize our natral resourses

Nationalize all natural resources on state and federal lands, Gas , coal ,oil, gold, silver, sand , lumber ect (make allowances for small businesses.) Use the profits to put alternative energy sources on all schools and public buildings. After all they belong to the people!!! Make sure the extraction is 100% safe to the environment.

In my view, this is too far flung from the core focus of this movement.

It's about taking power away from the oil companies and taking control of our own resources. This way we can prevent damage to the environment and generate revenue for the benefit of our own citizens, also less dependency on other countries oil and natural resources will help take away the excuses to send troops over seas to "protect U.S. interest"

I'm a former senior staff attorney for the EPA. I understand and apprciate the energy issues. I have no more say than anyone else about what the occupy movement is or iosn't about. My point is that, in my view, the Occupy Wall Street movement has more immediate core issues involving disparate weath issues and the wholesale purchase of our political system by monied interests.

There are no doubt thousands of issues. I could probably name 100 myself. If the movement is able to get even a few of the core issues addressed any time soon, that would be awesome. I do not see the nationalization of our national resources to be even a remote possibility as a core issue at this particular juncture
